TULSI BEHL is a young filmmaker with experience in directing, writing and producing short films and music videos. Most recently she has directed a professional music video for Morgan, under Rudimental’s record label Major Toms, and is in post production on a short sci-fi comedy Sanjay Saves The World, starring actor Bhasker Patel.
Her fresh, tenacious mind is constantly riddled with ideas for stories and she’s always on the lookout for her next project. She doesn’t like to be restricted by one particular style, genre or subject matter.
Tulsi had a rather unconventional upbringing, spending the first 6 years of her life in Rishikesh, India and having two natural doctors for parents. At the foothills of the Himalayas she was exposed to beautiful Indian jungles, Hindu stories like the Ramayana and a multitude of dynamic people from all walks of life. This lay the foundations of Tulsi’s passion for telling stories about the fantastic and unusual people she came across.
She has worked in the film industry for over 2 years as a set PA and personal PA to numerous actors and directors, on a wide array of low to high budget productions. Notable credits include Batman, Star Wars: IX, and The Souvenir: Part II.
While studying film theory at The University of East Anglia, Tulsi set up a filmmaking society and student run film company, gaining over 150 members in the space of a year. She produced numerous shorts on a shoestring budget that were entered into prestigious student film awards.
She also attended the National Film and Television School Residential Program in association with the British Film Institute when she was 17. And has since become a BFI alumna, participating in the prestigious and highly competitive Future Skills Program.
